Founded in 1923, the club has grown from hosting one senior team to currently hosting 2 senior teams, mini section for P1 – P7 and jointly host the School of Rugby based at Dunbar Grammar School.  We currently have 350 members in total.

We are an ambitious club that promotes and develops the game of rugby within the community, in order to encourage maximum participation and enjoyment at all levels. The 1XV currently play in the BT East Region League 1 and 2XV in the East Regional Development League.  Our School of Rugby play in the Outlander section of the Mitsubishi Schools & Youth Conference with fixtures up to December. Thereafter fixtures have been organised with schools in South East Scotland area.

The club employ a part time development officer who supports the local primary schools (Dunbar, Innerwick, West Barns, East Linton and Stenton) where he provides blocks of coaching within the curriculum for the P4 – P7 age groups throughout the term.  Within the School of Rugby he leads the curriculum sessions for S1 & S2 at the beginning of the season and the oversees the overall rugby program with the secondary school including strength & conditioning, additional skills sessions and classroom sessions.

We also provide sports camp during the school breaks for P1 – U15 age groups, host BBQs for charity events, organise fun events at school fairs and many others.

The club have chosen to become a charity partner with a local charity SiMBA who provide Help for those affected by loss of a baby, their logo will be on all of our team strips and raise awareness of this charity.
